DRT TRAK Racing Inc. announces 2019 schedule
MAQUOKETA, Ia. (March 25, 2019) – DRT TRAK Racing Inc. has finalized its schedule for the upcoming racing season. The 2019 slate includes twelve power-packed nights of stock car racing action spread between four Eastern Iowa racetracks.
The new season will begin with the REBEL 5K held on Friday, April 12th, at the Davenport Speedway. The event is highlighted by the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series late models racing on the half-mile track. Also racing at the REBEL 5K will be Modifieds, Street Stocks, and SportMods. A $5,000 prize awaits the winner of the Late Model feature.
The following Friday, April 19th, the racing action continues on the half-mile track on for the first of two Davenport appearances by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. The open late models will be joined on the track by Modifieds, Street Stocks and SportMods. Chris Simpson was the winner of last year’s event.
The racing action moves to the Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, on Saturday, April 20th. The event is highlighted by the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA late models. Joining the late models will be Modifieds, Street Stocks, SportMods, and the American Iron Racing Series.
Back to back nights of late model action start out the month of May. The Lucas Oil MLRA late models will return to the Davenport Speedway on Friday, May 3rd, as the open late models tackle the quarter-mile oval. The Modifieds, Street Stocks, and SportMods will be the support classes.
The following night, Saturday, May 4th, the Lucas Oil MLRA late models will battle at the West Liberty Raceway. Modifieds, SportMods, IMCA-type Street Stocks, and A.I.R.S. will also be racing on the high-speed half-mile track.
West Liberty Raceway will also host the Modified Madness race on Saturday, May 18th. $2,000 will go to the winner of the Modified A-Main.
The Lucas Oil MLRA late models highlight the racing program at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, June 15th.
The month of August is busy, starting with Mid-Summer Madness at West Liberty on Saturday, August 10th. Mod Madness roars into Tipton on Friday, August 16th. A Deery Brothers special closes out the month at West Liberty on Saturday, August 24th.
The racing action returns to the Davenport Speedway for the Night of Destruction on Saturday, September 7th. The motorized mayhem includes Cheater Races for the stock car classes and the always popular Trailer Race.
The Iowa Governor’s Cup, the official stock car championship of the State of Iowa, will be held at the Davenport Speedway on Saturday, September 28th. The 2019 event is highlighted by the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series late models racing on the quarter-mile track.
