Fierce Battle for Crown Jewel Cup Title
BATAVIA, OHIO (August 23, 2018) – As some of the most highly anticipated events of the season still remain, the battle for the ASi Racewear Crown Jewel Cup – Presented by DirtonDirt.com is heating up.
Hudson O’Neal leads the current Crown Jewel Cup standings heading into the Dirt Million at Mansfield Motor Speedway this weekend. Unfortunately, shoulder surgery has sidelined the 17-year-old driver for the remainder of the season, ending his bid for the Crown Jewel Cup title.
Scott Bloomquist is a close second in the Crown Jewel Cup standings, with a 15-point lead over Jonathan Davenport. Tim McCreadie and Earl Pearson Jr. complete the top-five.
The ASi Racewear Crown Jewel Cup – Presented by DirtonDirt.com will award points to drivers at the events, within the series schedule, that pay $20,000 or more to the winner. The driver that maintains perfect attendance throughout the season and earns the most points, within these events, will receive a $10,000 bonus at the championship awards banquet. The drivers who finish second through fifth in the Crown Jewel Cup will earn $5,000, $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 in cash, respectively.
