Great American IMCA Modified Nationals June 8-9 at Jetmore
JETMORE, Kan. (June 2) – Modifieds get top billing when The Great American Dirt Track rolls out the red carpet for its inaugural Great American IMCA Nationals Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9.
The opening night feature pays $750 to win while the Saturday checkers are good for $2,000. That race is a 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier.
A minimum of $100 will be paid to take the green in each 22-car feature; $50 tow will be paid to non-qualifiers on Saturday.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and SportMods are also on the program each evening, racing for $300 to win and a minimum of $50 to start.
Entry fee for Modifieds is $25 on Friday and $100 on Saturday. No entry fee will be charged for Stocks or SportMods.
Both Modified and Stock Car features double as Leary Racing Products Blood, Sweat and Tears South Series events.
All applicable points, including IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday. The drivers’ meeting is at 7 p.m., hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the pits open at 4:30 p.m., the drivers’ meeting is at 6 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m.
Spectator admission for adults is $15 on Friday and $20 on Saturday. A two-day pass is $30. Kids 11 and under get in free and pit passes are $35 each night
