One hundred twenty-three (123) cars checked in for Larry McFee Trucking night at I-35 Speedway. Fans were treated to three and four wide racing on a perfectly prepared racing surface.

Started off in the Show Me Vintage Racing series tonight as a season high 18 drivers made their way to I-35 Speedway with Brad Barlow picking up the feature win tonight. Jim Thorne would race his way into a second-place finish. John Martin was third and newcomer Brandon Jordan was fourth. The man on the move tonight was Damon Clevenger as he went from 18th to finish fifth.

In E-Mod action, Adam Dunwoodie would lead all 12 laps enroute to his second feature win of the season. It wouldn’t be easy for Dunwoodie as he would have to hold off multiple time feature winner and current points leader Casey Burnett, Burnett would finish second. Chris Dishong would race his way into a third-place finish as he would battle Aaron Jones for much of the race, Jones would finish fourth. PJ Conger would finish fifth in a different car tonight.

A few weeks removed from rolling his Pure Stock, Brandon Dixon would hit the track tonight and pick up his second feature win of the season. Current points leader, and his daughter, Ava Dixon would rebound from a spin earlier in the race and race her way back up to finish second. Jimmy Smith would finish third, followed by Jonnie Price and David Granger.

Midwest Limited Late Model points leader Ed Noll would lead all 20 laps as he would visit McCarthy Auto Group victory lane for the second time this season. Last week’s feature winner Tommy Cordray wouldn’t be far behind finishing second. Houston Johnson would come home with a third-place fish, with Vic Lovejoy in fourth and Harold Robb Jr in fifth.

USRA B-Mod feature was one for the ages as current track points leader Tyler Cadwallader would make a last lap, last corner pass on Hunter Longnecker to pick up the win. Longnecker would finish second after leading a majority of the race. Corey Myers, who battled early on, finished third. Dustin Crist would race his way up to a fourth-place finish and Jeff Stotts, after an incident earlier in the race, was a man on a mission coming back to finish fifth.

USRA Stock car points leader Nic Hanes would pick up feature win number five on the season. Hanes would hold off last week’s feature winner Jeff Dixon, as Dixon would make it interesting at the end. Tommy Ground had an ultra-fast car all night as he finished third. Don Nunnikhoven would make his first trip to I-35 Speedway this season successful, snagging a fourth-place finish, with Gerald Wahwahsuck racing his way up to a fifth place finish.

In USRA Modified action, track points leader Tyler Hibner set a blistering pace, winning by over 12 seconds and lapping all but the top four cars.  Second spot went to Lee Hibner after he started 15th in the field. Houston Johnson would pick up his second top 3 finish of the night, finishing third. Chad Clancy would jump behind the wheel of a Modified and finish fourth, with Jessie Willard in fifth.

Isaiah Penton picked up win #13 of the season in Sport Compacts. Penton would survive a flurry of challenges after staring 10th due to winning the last three weeks. Rookie Jonathan Hartman would challenge for the lead much of the race but ran out of time finishing second. Jeremy Sims would put the pressure on Hartman the last few laps but ran out of time finishing third. Harold Robb Sr would have a good race finishing fourth, followed by Steven King in fifth.

Congratulations to Fan of the Week winner Bentley Thomas, sponsored by Leadfoot Racing, Robb Racing, Noll Racing, JDB Videography, Silkwood Family Racing (39M) and ASF Racing.

Join is next week for Johnson Mechanical, Suicide Awareness night at the races.
