Lebanon Midway Hot Summer Nights Offers An Interesting Format For This Weekend
LEBANON, MO (July 31, 2012) – The Midway Speedway in Lebanon is preparing for the 3rd running of Hot Summer Nights and offers a different type of format for the drivers this weekends event.
Drivers in Factory Stocks, B Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, and Pure Stocks will go one on one in a double elimination bracket qualifying format in which you race head to head until you loose twice. The drivers draw for 1st round qualifying and go one on one to set the starting field for the Saturday Night feature events. Drivers in these classes can bring there home track rules and compete.
The Factory Stocks and B Modifieds each are going to race for $750 to win their class features while starting the feature pays $75. The Midwest Modifieds race for $250 to win and $60 to start while the always exciting Pure Stocks go for $200 to win and $60 to start. Drivers competing Friday Night receive 25 bonus points towards the track standings.
Saturday Night will host those feature events and any last chance races if needed along with the exciting Legend Cars make their first race at Midway this season. Also the Street Stock will be racing for regular track payout along with 25 bonus points. All drivers racing Saturday night receive 25 bonus points also.
The Legend Cars will be qualifying against the clock for 1 lap of qualifying which will set their heat races. The finish will help set the starting 20 lap feature.
Pit passes each night will be $30 as Friday night action will have hot laps starting around 7:10 with the bracket racing to start at 8PM.
Saturday night practice will begin at 6:40 with time trials for Legends to start at 7:10 and racing action at 7:30.
Grandstand admission is only $10 for Adults on Friday Night and $15 for the Saturday night program.
Drivers may compete only on Saturday night at start at the rear of the field, but will only receive 1/2 of the payout since they only compete 1 night.
