DONNELLSON, Iowa (April 26, 2012) – The regular season kicks off, Friday, April 27, at Lee County Speedway as it hosts its first points race of the year presented by Pepsi.
Pepsi will offer fans a free Doc 360, Diet Doc 360 or Pepsi Next as they leave the racetrack following what should be a great night of racing. Also, one Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and one Jeff Gordon standup will be given away following the feature events. Details on how to win the standups will be given during the night’s racing action!
Also, two members of the TA Auto & Tire Jr. Fan Club will get to take home a brand new bike courtesy of our friends at TA Auto & Tire. One boy and one girl bike will be given away at intermission. It is just the start of a great year for the TA Auto & Tire Jr. Fan Club!
All five regular classes start their points Friday night, including the Budweiser IMCA Modifies, Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA Sport Mods, Coors Light IMCA Hobby Stocks and Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts. Josh Foster, Modifeds: Matt Greiner, Stock Cars; and Jim Gillenwater, Sport Mods; are all expected to be back in 2012 to battle for another points championship in their respective classes.
The change to IMCA Hobby Stock will make for a new champion in that division, while the change to IMCA Sport Compacts will likely do the same in that class.
As usual, racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit gates this week will open at 5 p.m., with grandstands opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps will start at 7 p.m.
