Lightning halts races at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (June 29, 2012) – Friday’s stock car racing program at the Davenport Speedway was halted part-way through the Koehler Electric Street Stock feature. The decision was made as the lightning from an approaching storm posed a risk to racers and fans alike.

Qualifying heat races in all four classes had been completed, before the storms came. The Street Stock main was the first of four features to be run.

A schedule to make up the balance of the racing program, has not been finalized at this time. Please check our website (www.drttrak.com) for further information, or check the DRT TRAK Racing facebook page.
