Mother Nature Has Forced the Lee County Speedway to Change This Weekends Events

Donnellson, IA (October 18, 2012) – Once again mother nature has forced the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA to make changes to this weekends racing activities. Rains on both Wednesday and Thursday, along with the forecast for cloudy and windy conditions on Friday have forced officials to cancel Friday nights events. The two day Fall Extravaganza which was set to kick off on Friday has now been pushed back to Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st. Shiverfest which was pushed back to Sunday, October 21st after last weekends rains has now been postponed.
Saturday, October 20th will now feature heats, semis if necessary, and features in the Budweiser Modifieds, Donnellson Tire Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Coor’s Light LCS Hobby Stocks, and Sunline Auto Parts Sport Compacts. The top 6 finishers in Saturdays features will lock themselves into Sundays main events.
Pit Gates on Saturday will open at 3:30pm, Grandstands at 4:30pm, Hot Laps will be at 5:30pm, with Racing at 6:00pm. Grandstand admission for Saturday will be Adults $10, Seniors (60+) $8, Students (7-14) $5, with Kids 6 and under FREE! Pit Passes will be Adults $25, Students (7-13) $15, Kids 6 and under $10. There will be a 2 day Adult pit pass sold for $50.
Then on Sunday, October 21st heats, semis if necessary and the main events will take place in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, LCS Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. The Modifieds will be going for a top prize of $1,500 to win and $200 to start, with the Stock Cars and SportMods battling for a top prize of $1,200 and $150 to start. While the IMCA Hobby Stocks and LCS Hobby Stocks each battling for a prize of $500 to win and $100 to start, with the Sport Compacts racing for $400 to win and $75 to start.
Sunday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00pm, Grandstands at 2:00pm, Hot Laps at 3:15pm, and Racing at 4:00pm. Grandstand admission for Sunday will be Adults $12, Seniors (60+) $10, Students (7-14) $5, with Kids 6 and under FREE! Pit passes on Sunday will be Adults $30, Students (7-13) $15, Kids 6 and under $10.
