Race into food, fun with Heinkel’s Three Dog Night at Macon Speedway
MACON, Ill. (June 17, 2014) – With Heinkel’s products a fan favorite in the concession stands for decades, Macon Speedway is excited to unveil the food specials and fun activities during Heinkel’s Three Dog Night on Saturday. While the racing program features Midwest Big Ten Series street stocks, the night is loaded with fun in the grandstands with $1 hot dogs, a hot dog eating contest and free merchandise, including variety meat packs from Heinkel’s. Women also receive half-price admission as the gals from Woody’s compete during the second Bud Light Ladies Night race of the season while Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks race for $500 to win.
Heinkel’s is a Decatur tradition. The wieners and sausages helped Heinkel’s earn the title of Illinois-Indiana grand champion of meat processors in 2013. The company’s smoked turkey legs are favorites at county fairs, theme parks and NASCAR events, so they were added to the Macon Speedway concessions this season. Heinkel’s products can be found locally at Kroger, County Market, Sav-A-Lot, IGA, House of Meats and other grocers.
Two meat variety packs will also be given away. The assortment will include bacon, polish sausage, grand champion wieners, Andouille and fresh rope sausage. One of the variety packs goes to the hot dog eating champion and another one goes to a lucky fan. Be on the lookout for free T-shirts and camo hats, because hunters should also think about Heinkel’s during deer season. Last fall, Heinkel’s introduced the newest product to their Venison line-up, Jalapeno & Cheddar Venison Wieners.
The five ladies from Woody’s will compete in a five-lap shootout with the top two qualifying for the Bud Light Ladies Night Championship on Sept. 13. Look for giveaways from Budweiser. There’s some really cool merchandise, from sunglasses to T-shirts, coozies and party beads. Check out the race buckets. For just $20, you get a souvenir bucket, five cold cans of any Bud Light or Bud plus the ice to keep it all cold during that hot racing on the track. Now, that’s a party to make it great summer night in the Macon Speedway grandstands. With so many ladies in the crowd, you guys better find a way to Macon Speedway.
