| June 15, 2012

FORT DODGE, Iowa (June 15) – Rain on Thursday night, rain throughout the day on Friday and more rain forecasted for Friday night has forced officials to pull the plug on the June 15 racing program at the Mineral City Speedway in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Next Friday, June 22, is Fan Appreciation Night at the Mineral City Speedway. For the last two weeks, drivers have been handing out free passes to fans for next Friday’s show featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, Econo Stocks and Hornets.

To get yours, find a Mineral City Speedway driver and ask for your free pass. Any drivers needing more free passes to distribute can call 515-297-1691 or email larry@mineralcityspeedway.com to request more.

Grandstand gates will open Friday, June 22, at 5:00, hot laps start at 7:00 and racing begins at 7:30. Without the free pass, adult grandstand tickets are $10, kids ages 13-16 are $6 and children under 13 get in for free. Pit passes are $25.

Drivers in the USRA Stock Car and USRA B-Mod divisions may run either the American Racer G60/KK704 racing tire or the stamped Hoosier G60. All other USRA rules apply.
