VINTON, IOWA (January 4, 2012) – IMCA has a sweetheart of a deal for drivers under the age of 18 this season.

Those drivers sending in their 2013 license application and signed consent forms by Thursday, Feb. 14 – that’s Valentine’s Day – don’t have to pay the $50 minor fee for registration.

Licenses and consent forms, with signatures of parents or guardians witnessed by a notary, should be mailed to the IMCA home office.

“Our insurance provider requires that drivers 17 years and under submit notarized consent forms every season,” explained Virginia Lindsey, director of points and membership for IMCA. “Obviously we want to have those forms in hand as soon as possible and we’re hoping that waiving the $50 fee will help us get more of that paperwork in a timely manner.”

Questions can be directed to Lindsey at 319 472-2201, x215. Consent forms can be obtained by calling that number or emailing vlindsey@imca.com.
