“Spring Extravaganza” Set to Open the 2015 Season at the Lee County Speedway

Donnellson, IA (Sunday, March 8, 2015) – The 2015 season at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA is set to begin with the “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” on Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th. Midwest Performance & Power in Keokuk, Iowa are helping to present the action in the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts both nights.
The “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” at the Lee County Speedway will be headlined by a $1,000 to win feature for IMCA Modifieds on both Friday and Saturday nights. With both features being qualifiers for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Also in action on both nights will be the IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA SportMods running for $500 to win each night, while the IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts will be racing for $300 to win each night.
Past champions of the “Spring Extravaganza” include Scott Hogan (2013 Modifieds), Richie Gustin and Jimmy Gustin (2014 Modifieds), Damon Murty (2013 Stock Cars), Todd Reitzler and Abe Huls (2014 Stock Cars), Clint Luellen (2013 SportMods), Brett Lowry swept (2014 SportMods), Andy Coffman (2013 Hobby Stocks), Mike Kincaid swept (2014 Hobby Stocks), Skipp Dunker (2013 Sport Compacts), Brad Chandler and Adam Gates (2014 Sport Compacts). Will one of these drivers put their name in the record books for the “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza”, or will there be new winners visiting victory lane for the 2015 event?
Entry fees per night are $40 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and SportMods, $20 for Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. Each night will be a complete program, with a draw / redraw format used on both nights.
The “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” will be following all IMCA rules. With national, regional and state points being awarded on both nights.
Pit passes both nights will be $25, ages (7-13) $15, and ages 6 & under $10. While the grandstands for each night will be adults $12, students (7-17) $6, and kids 6 & under FREE!
Pit gates on Friday will open at 5:00 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:00 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Then on Saturday night the pit gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps will begin at 6:00 p.m. and racing kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

A practice night is set for Thursday, March 26th, with the gates opening at 5 p.m. and the first hot lap session beginning at 7 p.m. Pit passes on this night will be $20.
