Spring Fling Set to Open 2025 Racing Season At Cedar County Raceway

Tipton, Iowa (March 5, 2025) – The 2025 racing season is set to get underway at the Cedar County Raceway located on the Cedar County Fairgrounds on the west edge of Tipton. The lightening fast ¼ mile dirt track will host the “Spring Fling” on Saturday, April 12th. Darkside Promotions (Tim Current & Ryan Duhme) have hosted special racing events at the Cedar County Raceway for several years and the events are always spectacular.
The “Spring Fling” will feature racing action in seven classes being headlined by the super fast Modifieds, also in action will be the Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, 4 Stocks, Outlaw 2 Man Cruisers and the A.I.R.S. Cars.
The gates will open at 1 pm, the warm ups will get underway at 5:30 pm with racing to follow.
• Next up at the Cedar County Raceway will be the “Hawkeye Land 40” which will feature an evening of high powered Super Late Model racing sanctioned by the MARS group. Thursday, April 17 will bring the roar of the Late Models to Tipton, the event will be Co-Promoted by K Promotions and Darkside Promotions. In addition to Late Models the Modifieds, Stock Cars and Sportmods will be in action. The Grandstand gates will open at 5 pm with hot laps slated to get underway at 6:30 pm with racing to follow.
• The “Spring Fling” will be the first of four special racing events in 2025 under the direction of Darkside Promotions at the Cedar County Raceway. The Gary Rinehart Memorial will be held on Friday, July 25th and the annual “Fall Bash” will present three fantastic days of racing, October 2, 3 and 4 to round out the 2025 season at the Cedar County Raceway.
