SPRINGFIELD, MO (August 6, 2012) – The “Quick Quarter ” of the Springfield Raceway will be back in action on Saturday Night August 11th with the Pepsi Back To School Night.
Springfield Raceway Back In Action With Back To School Night Special And Street Stock Special
SPRINGFIELD, MO (August 6, 2012) – The “Quick Quarter ” of the Springfield Raceway will be back in action on Saturday Night August 11th with the Pepsi Back To School Night. Kids 12 and under will be admitted Free in the Grandstands along with some special items for kids as some School Supplies will be offered along with other items and special deals.
Not only the track Sponsors, but also special Sponsors for this popular event include Pepsi, Ron’s Racing Collectibles in Springfield, Dirt Works Race Cars, Auto Express In Joplin, Race Brothers Farm And Home Supply In Springfield, Monett, and Carthage, Andy’s Frozen Custard of Springfield, Jackie Dalton Racing along with Doug’s Pro Lube, Yeoman Racing Engines, and Hoffman Race Cars have all joined in to help distribute school supplies to the kids along with the 1st 100 kids under 12 in the Grandstands will receive a Free Backpack. Also there will be 2 bikes given away, 1 for the boys and 1 for the girls.
In addition to the Hi Speed exciting racing action of the Transport Graphics Championship Chase, Williams Lawn Care And Preservation in Springfield will be sponsoring a special paying Street Stock feature with $200 going to the winner and drivers will receive $35 to start. This will be an open draw with the top 6 passing point cars redrawing for starting positions. Track points will be awarded.
Action will also feature the Budweiser USRA Modifieds as Jackie Dalton and Mitch Keeter head into this weekend in a deadlock in the track points standings, Reliable Chevrolet USRA B Mods, Casey’s General Stores Midwest Modz, Wheeler Metals Legends and Young Lions, Pepsi Pure Stocks and Williams Lawn Care And Restoration Street Stocks.
Grandstand Admission is only $12 while kids 12 and under are Free. Grandstand gates open at 5:30 while hot laps start at 6:30 and Racing at 7:30. Pit passes are $25 and pit gates open at 4:30. Drivers meeting is slated for 6:15 while driver draw for SURE Modifieds and Street Stocks cuts off at 6:45. Driver check-in is also 6:45.
