Springfield Raceway Back In Action Saturday Night September 29th With Fun Filled Night
SPRINGFIELD, MO (Sept 24, 2012) – Saturday Night, September 29th action fires up again at the “Quick Quarter” as the Speedway will feature a Mechanics Race and Ladies Powder-puff event to the racing card along with the “OUTLAW Street/Factory Stocks. This is for Street Stocks and Factory Stock type cars as the rule book is thrown out the window as drivers will get creative.
Action will feature the USRA Modifieds (Sanctioned for USRA National Points), B Modifieds (Springfield Raceway Rules), Midwest Modz, Young Lions Legends competing in the Missouri Young Lions Nationals sponsored by Petran Motorsports,and area Pure Stocks (drivers from other tracks will need to bring their track rules).
This will be an open draw for heat races event with passing points to determine the feature line-ups. Payout will be regular Springfield Raceway Payout for all classes.
In addition to the action on the High-Banked Quarter Mile Dirt oval, the Speedway will hold a Ladies Powder-puff race and Mechanics Race. No former Drivers or current drivers in the Mechanics race as this is a chance for the person who helps turn those wrenches each week to go have a little fun. The Street Stocks and Pure Stocks will be put together and the Modified Classes will be put together.
The Ladies Powder-puff allows the women a chance to show their husbands just what the car can do and is always a crowd pleasure.
Racing will begin at 6PM with hot laps starting around 5PM while pit passes will be $25. Grandstand Admission that evening will be the normal $12 for Adults with Kids 6-12 only $5 and under 6 Free with the Front Gates opening at 4:30PM. The Pit Gates will open at 3PM while drivers draw cutoff is slated for 5:15 with drivers meeting at 4:30 time frame.
