Tyler Reddick Set for Eldora Speedway Debut in 18th Annual Dream
CORNING, CALIFORNIA (June 5, 2012) – 16-year-old, Tyler Reddick will be making his much-anticipated debut at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) this weekend in the 18th Annual Dream 100 behind the wheel of his #11 Broken Bow Records/Bloomquist Super Late Model.
With Tyler finally meeting the minimum age required to race at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) he will be making the trek to the famed, 1/2 mile oval this weekend. With $100,000 winner’s check on the line Reddick will be looking to shake the monkey off his back that has plagued him for the first half of the season in the mega-event.
Reddick Motorsports will take to the track on Wednesday evening with NASCAR driver, Ken Schrader behind the wheel of a team’s entry in the 8th Annual Feed the Children Prelude at Eldora Speedway. Schrader has twice finished fourth in the Prelude. The charity event raises money for the Feed the Children charity and will be broadcast live on HBO pay-per-view. Tyler will make his debut on Friday evening at Eldora Speedway with time trials and potential qualifier races. Saturday evening will see heat races, consolation events, scrambles, and the 100 lap finale. For more information on the event, please visit www.EldoraSpeedway.com .
Last weekend the team took to the track for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events. The 26th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial was held on Saturday night at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) as forty-one Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors registered for action in the $10,000-to-win, 50 lap event atop the 1/2 mile oval. After finishing third in the fourth heat race Reddick locked into the twelfth starting spot for the main event. He would battle in the top ten for much of the event before crossing the finish line in the ninth position.
On Sunday evening the team made the trip to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) for a $10,000-to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) that was originally scheduled for Friday evening but was delayed by rain. Twenty-two competitors were on hand for the event, and after experiencing mechanical issues early in the night Reddick would have to scratch from his heat race. As a result he started 22nd on the grid for the 50 lap feature. In the first half of the main event Tyler would race his way into the top ten, however a lap 32 tangle would force him to the tail of the field. He would rejoin the field before being credited with a 15th place finish.
