Weekend tripleheader takes Deery Series to Davenport, West Liberty, Dubuque

VINTON, Iowa (April 17) –   Three Deery Brothers Summer Series events in as many nights will test the   mettle of man and machine this weekend.

The IMCA Late Model tour   journeys to Davenport Speedway for a $2,000 to win main event on Friday,   April 20, to West Liberty Raceway on Saturday, April 21 and to Dubuque   Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, April 22 for $3,000 to win contests.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m.   and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Friday. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with   racing at 7 p.m.

Grandstand admission is   $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and free for kids 10 and under.   Pit passes are $25.

West Liberty opens the   gates at 4 p.m. while the pit area at Dubuque opens at 3:30 p.m.

The grandstands open at   4:30 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow both nights.

Spectator admission   Saturday and Sunday is $16 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for students, and   free for kids 12 and under. Pit passes are $30.

In conjunction with the   Saturday event in West Liberty, Deery Brothers Ford Lincoln in Iowa City will   host a cookout at its 2343 Mormon Trek location.

Complimentary hotdogs and   hamburgers will be served from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Drawings will be held for   tickets to that evening’s race and fans can check out the new and used cars   and trucks on the lot before heading to the track.

2011 series runner-up   Andy Eckrich currently plans to have his car on display during the cookout.

Eckrich and co-point   leader Mike Murphy Jr. were winners of the first two series events of the   season. A new date for the already twice-postponed show at Hamilton County   Speedway in Webster City is still to be determined.
