Midway Championship Chase Going Strong

LEBANON, MO (July 06) - The Central Bank Racing Series Championship Chase keeps rooling in high gear Friday ngiht after a very successful Energy Company Independence Holiday night last week.

 Action will feature the Central Bank FactoryStocks,Aaron's Modifieds,Energy Company PureStocks,Tansport Graphics StreetStocks and Rocky Ridge construction Midwest Modz with Geates opening at 5:30, Hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM.

 Sundance Keepper enters this Friday Nights event as the current point leader despite his winning streak coming to a halt at the hands of James Flood 2 weeks ago.Defending champion Tyson Troutman of Houston holds a solid runner-up spot only 25 points behind Keepper while a dog-fight for third place between Shawn Whitman,James Flood,Craig Danuser, and Donnie Miller has it up for grabs.

 Defending Modified Champion Michael Stake of Phillipsburg still sets on the top of the points standings with a 70 pint lead over JC Newell as Shawn Strong,Bill Schaar,last weeks winner Kris Jackson complete a talented top 5 as this class provides outstanding racing and many talented drivers.

 The PureStock class has a great battle with Monk Barker holding a 4 point advantage over Matt Young while defending champion Kory Barker,Shorty Doublin and Kolt Barker round out a tight top 5 spot with still alot of action to go this season.

 Defending StreetStock Champion joe Francis still owns a slim 11 point advantage over Brandon Waters and a 17 point lead over Trevor Ellingson while Rodney Yost and Josh Lewis round out the top 5 and the competition keeps getting tougher with the addition of Lebanon's Keith Cheevers strong runs and Buffalo's Mark Simon.

 Defending Midwest Modz Champion JC Newell moves back into the lead holding a 21 point lead over Rich Reynolds.Last week was a tough night as a large field of Midwest Modz and Reynolds getting caught-up in an incident moved him out of the lead.Earl Muilenburg,Bill Joiner and Sam Petty complete a tough top 5 as several drivers are showing great finishes so far.

 Scheduled on Friday Night July 15th is Relay for Life Night at the Races.Advance tickets are on sale from most relay for life team members along with at the Lebanon License Office and Heritage Bank in Lebanon.East 32 Quick Stop and The Trophy Shop in Lebanon have joined as sponsors for this event as a proceeds from each Relay ticket purchased from the teams goes towards that team and the American Cancer Society
