102 Cars Enter at Casey’s General Store Night at the Races I-35 Speedway
WINSTON, MO (September 19, 2015) – Starting the night’s great racing action the Midwest Lightning Sprints would see a first time ever feature winner in their make-up feature from July 25, 2015. Heat race winner Paden Moreland #19 would set a blistering pace while leading every lap holding off all challengers on his way to McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle. Tom Brown #b20 was in winning contention but unable to pass the speedy Moreland settling for second place. Tyler Miller #25m would finish a solid third with Chris Schofield #9s fourth and Mike Trent #49 rounding out the feature’s top five. Other heat race winner was Mark K Billings #51 who developed mechanical problems forcing him from the race.
E-Modifieds would roar to the three-eighths of dirt and see heat race winner and current point leader John Brown #36j in victory lane. Brown would lead every circuit on his way to claiming the top spot. Other heat race winner Kit Bailey #77 would challenge Brown early only to fade late and place second. Jason Estes #20x, in a barrowed car, would race his way to finish third with Nick Little #7 fourth. Final heat race winner Daniel Harris #319 would notch a solid top five run.
Hobby Stock would look like a broken record as Mich Ross #34 would charge through the pack to pick up his fourth win in a row at I-35 Speedway. Early race leader Carson Masoner #13x would battle heat race winner Conner Masoner #47x for the top spot until Conner would spin out in turn four sending him to the rear of the field. Carson Masoner would continue his chase for the front and finish second with Greg Gilbert #23g exploding his engine at the line finishing third. Conner Masoner would recover from his early race miscue to finish fourth as Jim Masoner Jr #99 would finish fifth.
USRA B-Modifieds would be in fine form on this night of great racing action. Heat race winner Clint Baker #17x would outrun all challengers and claim the checkered flag for his first feature win this 2015 racing season. Other heat race winner Randy Ainsworth #57 would try Baker high and low to no avail and would be forced to settle for second. Ronnie Miller #76 was the big mover of the feature by racing his way from the back of the pack to the front placing third. Tony Manley #24w and Nic Hanes #9h would race clean and green to the checkers with Manley fourth and Hanes fifth. Other heat race winner was David Bouzek #75.
Grand Nationals would take to the track with the closest point battle at I-35 Speedway. Heat race winner Donnie Brown #26 continues his winning ways by leading every lap and holding off the hard charge of second place finisher Buz Kaster #54, to claim the victory. Heat race winner Austin Johnson #98 would end the night third with Travis Walker #71, back behind the wheel of his Grand National, fourth. Houston Johnson #97 would round out the night’s top five.
In their second feature of the evening the Midwest Lightning Sprints would see first and second from the earlier feature rearranged. Heat race winner Tom Brown #b20 would not be denied as he and other heat race winner Paden Moreland #19 would battle side by side for the first three laps of their race. Brown would methodically pull away to claim the feature win, leaving Moreland to place second. Ken Brown #10 would end the night in third with Rick Baxter #12b placing fourth and Chris Schofield #9s fifth.
USRA Stock Cars were high in number and quality with the best of the best racing at I-35 Speedway. Dean Wray #77 continues his dominance winning his heat race and feature number seven in a row, making it win number sixteen for the 2015 racing season. Thomas Roberts #65x would race his way to a solid second place with Blake Peeler #292 making an impressive showing placing third. Gene Stigall #xx20 would finish fourth with hard charger of the feature Billie Hoover #21h coming from the back to place fifth. Other heat race winner was Jon Boller Jr #20x who was battling for the lead when contact would take him from contention.
USRA Modifieds would see a locked and loaded field with the best drivers from all around choosing to race at I-35 Speedway. Heat race winner Zach Sanders #69 would take the early lead and pace the field and be the car to beat this night of racing. Sanders would lead every lap on his way to McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle. Darron Fuqua #87, in his first ever visit to I-35 Speedway, would find the track to his liking with a second place finish. Heat race winner Terry Schultz #90 was in winning contention until a tire would go flat in the later stages moving his to place third. Current point leader Dennis Elliott #29 would battle Derrick Hicks #78 as the two would go back and forth with Elliott placing fourth and Hicks fifth. Other heat race winner was Jared Stiens #59.
I-35 Speedway would like to thank all the drivers and Ed Noll Racing for their donations to the nickel drop that was held during Intermission activities for the kids.
