114 Cars at I-35 Speedway on Generational Buildings Night at the Races!!!!

Winston, MO (September 3, 2016)  – Pure Stock would kick off the night of great racing action as heat race winner Carson Masoner #20x would not be denied and win his thirteenth feature of the 2016 racing season. Masoner would hold off a strong charge by second place finisher Nate Barnes #99xx and Tobin Bartlett #28 who would place third on the night. Anthony Persell #87 would mount a run toward the front placing fourth with other heat race winner Conner Masoner #47x rounding out the night’s top five.

#20x “Gamer” Carson Masoner, Pure Stock Feature Winner!

E-Modified would charge to the track with a loaded field of talented drivers to do battle. Matthew Lance #12x would take the early lead with Kyle Henning #1 close on his heels. Lance would slip coming off turn number four allowing Henning to take over the front. As the race progressed, the familiar face of Matt Dorssom #3d would march through the pack passing all competitors and picking up his fourteenth feature win at I-35 Speedway this 2016 racing season. Heat race winner Josh Munsen #19x would challenge Dorssom but ran out of time and laps placing an impressive second. One time leader Lance would slip to third with Kyle Henning fourth. Fifth place would again see Derek Carney #05 drive a smooth and consistent feature event. Other heat race winner was John Brown #36j who would develop mechanical issues forcing him from the race. Hard Charger of the E-Mod feature was young driver Dylan Flowers #5d who continues to improve weekly.

#3d “MadDog” Matt Dorssom, E-Modified Feature Winner!

Show Me Vintage Racers were high in number and quality as they would try and tame a near perfect racing surface. Jeremy Turner #11 would put his 1973 Chevy out front in the early stages of the race until Damon Clevenger #6 would take his 1956 Ford to the top of the leader board. Damon Clevenger would hold off all challengers and claim the victory and celebrate in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. John Steenstry #22 would mount a late charge and fall a little short placing second with Turner fading to third.  Heat race winner Lonnie Farley #44 would race his way to fourth with the #7 of Mickey Fleethart placing fifth. Other heat race winner was Jeremy Steenstry #79.

#6 Damon Clevenger, Show Me Vintage Feature Winner!

Chargers would see Donnie Brown win both heat race and feature with a dominating performance. The #26 of Brown would lead every lap of the heat and feature on his way to the victory. Houston Johnson #97 would place second with Buz Kaster #54 a close third. Marty Powell #9p would end the night fourth with Mich Ross #98m fifth.

 

 

 

 

#26 “Big Dog” Donnie Brown, Charger Feature Winner!

Mod Lites would put on a show for the fans in attendance with great side by side racing to the checkers. Heat race winner Dillon Raffurty #46 would battle side by side with 64B Randy Bryan in the first few circuits until Bryan would take the lead for good. Bryan would go on to pick up his first feature win at I-35 Speedway. Dillon Raffurty would place second with other heat race winner David Raffurty #76 a close third. Fourth place would belong to #30 of Jason Masongarb with fifth going to Mike Raffurty #64.

 

 

 

 

 

#64 Randy Bryan, Mod Lite Feature Winner!

USRA B-Modifieds would be firing on all cylinders with non-stop action. The two heat race winners Tim Eaton #211 and Randy Ainsworth #57 would battle side by side as the green fell on the B-Mod feature. Eaton would wrestle the lead from Ainsworth as you could throw a blanket over the top five. Eaton would leave the top side open and Doug Keller #7 would take advantage and charge by Eaton. Keller would race his way on to the checkers claiming his second feature win in as many weeks. Point Leader Steve Starmer #11s would pass Eaton in the closing laps to capture second leaving Eaton to finish third.  Ainsworth would fade late to finish fourth with Dustin Crist #222 placing a solid fifth on the night.

 

 

 

 

#7 “Little Dougie” Doug Keller, USRA B-Modified Feature Winner!

USRA Stock Cars would see a new face in victory lane as Jay Barnes #29x would win both his heat race and the feature on this night of competition. Barnes would be challenged early by point leader and other heat race winner Jason Estes #997 who would battle back from an early race caution to place second on the night. Alvie Christofferson #22x would be in contention all race and place a close third at the line with Mich Ross #20m fourth. Dale Eaton #63 would race his way to fifth at a close race to the checkers.

 

 

 

 

 

#29x “Jay Bird” Jay Barnes, USRA Stock Car Feature Winner!

USRA Modifieds would not disappoint with the two heat race winners battling on the track as Aaron Marrant #70 and Derrick Hicks #78 would pace the field. Marrant would take the lead and never look back picking up the feature win leaving Hicks to place a solid second. Point Leader Dennis Elliott #29 would have another good night finishing third with Houston Johnson #97 impressing again with a fourth place showing. Jon Binning #65 would place fifth in his first trip to I-35 Speedway this 2016 racing season.

 

 

 

 

 

#70 Aaron Marrant, USRA Modified Feature Winner!

Sport Compact would see Brandon Box #4d win his second feature of the year capturing the checkers in both heat race and feature. John Willard #1/2cr would place second with 1/2b Steven Bunton third. David Miller III #55 would place fourth with D J Barnes #5 fifth.
