$2,000-to-win IMCA SportMods at Davenport Speedway on June 14th

DAVENPORT, Ia. (May 30, 2013) – It’s time for the IMCA SportMods to take the spotlight.  A $2,000 payday awaits the winner of the IMCA SportMod 50 at the Davenport Speedway.  The event will be held at the Davenport speedplant on Friday, June 14th.

 The SportMods will use a draw/redraw format for the event. All racing will be on the quarter-mile dirt oval.

2013 is the first season the IMCA SportMod class has competed at the Davenport Speedway. The expanded purse is expected to draw the top SportMod drivers from across the region.

Also racing that evening will be IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Stocks.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates will open Friday at 4:30pm, the grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:30 and racing at 7:00pm.
