2015 Illinois SPEED Week Show Coming To Macon
Millstadt, IL (May 31, 2015) – With clocks counting down, teams from all over the United States and across the world are putting the finishing touches on their racecars, as they prepare for the third annual POWRi Illinois SPEED Week presented by Toyota. As has been the case in previous years, drivers from the United States, Australia, and New Zealand will be in attendance. Macon Speedway marks one of this year’s stops, Saturday, June 6.
With Kiwi’s Brad Mosen and Hayden Williams set to run in midget competition, along with the Keith Kunz Motorsports team led by Christopher Bell, the stout lineup of drivers is already taking shape to make the 2015 POWRi Illinois SPEED Week presented by Toyota one of the most awaited events of the year.
“It would be pretty cool to win it again,” said Christopher Bell. “I won the first one, but didn’t get the opportunity to run last year. It’s definitely a really fun event. We go to a lot of really cool racetracks right in a row. It’s just a really fun week.”
With four straight nights of racing on tap, the 2015 Illinois SPEED Week will open at Quincy Raceways in Quincy, IL on Thursday, June 4th. Following Quincy Raceway, teams will travel to Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, IL on Friday, June 5th and then to Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on Saturday, June 6th. The Illinois SPEED Week finale will take place at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL on Sunday, June 7th.
Joining the POWRi Midgets and Micros at Macon Speedway will be the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, B-Mods, Street Stocks, and Hornets.
