WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (March 11, 2013) – 34 Raceway will start the 2013 race season with the Westland Mall/Midwest Performance and Power Car Show and kickoff party this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17.
34 Raceway, along with a number of generous drivers and sponsors, is bringing back the two-day show to be held at Westland Mall in West Burlington both days. Race cars will fill the mall for fans and shoppers to get a sneak peak at and to show off their all-important sponsors during regular mall hours.
On Saturday, fans and drivers are invited to join the 34 Raceway crew at Whitey’s Bar and Billiards starting at 7 p.m. where the winners of the car show will also be announced.
Champion Spark Plug’s $125,000 “Search for a Champion” contest top 15 finalist Donnie Steward of West Burlington will have a booth set up so folks can vote on-site for his chance at $50,000. As an incentive for fan votes, the team is giving away a framed Kevin Harvick autographed poster, two tickets to the World of Outlaw sprint car show at 34 Raceway, gift certificates and koozies.
To be eligible for the give-a-ways, voters must vote and leave a comment on the facebook page or Champion voting site. The more votes/comments, the more chances a voter has to win.
