50th season at Eagle starts with Ice Breaker Challenge
EAGLE, Neb. (March 11, 2013) – Eagle Raceway starts its 50th season with the traditional Ice Breaker special on Friday and Saturday, April 19-20.
A pair of Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds and debut of the IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars highlight the program.
The opening night show pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start. Saturday’s main event pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $160 to start.
Sprints run for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start on Saturday
Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race Friday and Saturday for $500 to win. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for a top check of $500 while Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $250 to win on Saturday.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional and Allstar Performance state points will be awarded each night.
There is no entry fee for drivers registering by April 16. Late fee after that date is $25.
Gates to the pit area open at 4 p.m. both afternoons. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and racing is at 8 p.m. on Friday. Stands open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Pit passes are $25 each night. Spectator admission is $12 for adults on Friday and $15 on Saturday. Children ages six to 12 are $5 and five and under get in free both nights.
An open practice for all divisions runs from 7-11 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Pit passes are $10 and grandstand admission is free. A free chili feed for everyone who purchased pit passes follows the Friday program.
