Southern Iowa Speedway Excited for 2014 Season
Oskaloosa, Iowa (Feb. 13, 2014) – The Southern Iowa Speedway is excited to kick off its 2014 season. With tremendous growth over the last 2 years racing in Osky is back to life. The 2014 season has many highlights starting with night #1 of the IMCA Frostbusters with NASCAR driver Keeny Schrader racing against IMCA’s best modified drivers in the Midwest. Sprint Invaders will make their first appearance at the Southern Iowa Speedway and will be the first Sprint Car race in the area. IMCA Late Models will return to the Southern Iowa Speedway with 8 race nights for full bonus points to our track champion. The IMCA late Models kick off April 30 then we host 2 straight days during the Southern Iowa Fair. Then their last 2 races will be the end of July and August.
Sport Mods will have their annual special on April 23 and Hobby Stocks on June 4th. On Thursday June 12 we host the popular Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models for a much anticipated evening. Then we host where the Stock Car Shootout started 19 years ago with the Annual IMCA Stock Car Shootout on July 2 and 3. During the Southern Iowa Fair we bring in the popular Hawkeye Dirt Tour for the Modifeds along with 2 days straight of IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Late Models. Over the last 2 years the Wednesday night modified $1000 winners have won the Harris Clash both years and the 2014 IMCA Super Nationals with Kyle Strickler and Dylan Smith. Then we end the 2014 season with the 28th Annual Musco Lighting Fall Challenge on October 3 & 4.
The Southern Iowa Speedway has always been known to host the “best of the best”. The 2014 season looks to be the best ever for great racing excitement in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
