Street Stock Fourth of July Clash set for Davenport Speedway

 

DAVENPORT, Ia. (June 25, 2014) – The fireworks will be on the racetrack this Independence Day, at the Street Stock Fourth of July Clash. The Davenport Speedway will play host to the 50-lap race that will pay $2,000 to the winner in the Street Stock class.

This is the third consecutive year DRT TRAK Racing has offered a $2,000-to-win, 50-lap event for the Street Stock class.

Bernard, Iowa driver, Tim Current, won the cash last year. Davenport native, Jeremy Marquette, won the event in 2012.

Weekly DTR Street Stock rules will be in effect for the Street Stock Fourth of July Clash. The rules can be found on the track’s website, “davenportspeedway.com” .

Weekly point races will be held in all other classes.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates open Friday at 4:30pm, the grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:30 and racing at 7:00pm.
