FRIDAY NIGHT RECEPTION FOR PAST NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME (NSCHoF) INDUCTEES IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 31, 2012) – The Friday, June 1, special reception for past National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) inductees, to be held on the museum’s second floor at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public. Amongst those current inductees that have indicated their intentions to attend this weekend’s twenty-third annual induction events are Harold Leep, Steve Stapp, Bob Trostle, Jack Elam, Kenny Woodruff, Ray Lee Goodwin, Bill Utz, Casey Luna, Ralph Capitani, Lanny Edwards, Newton “Buzz” Rose, Lynn Paxton, Tom Bigelow, Shane Carson and Bill Hill.
According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “This is the first year in a long time that we haven’t had Friday night races as part of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction weekend, so we’ve decided to offer a special reception on our second floor for current National Sprint Car Hall of Famers. We are looking forward to hearing sprint car racing legends like Ray Lee Goodwin and Lynn Paxton tell stories from back in the day. And then on Saturday afternoon at the induction banquet, new inductees like Johnny Anderson, Ron Shaver, Bobby Ward, Thad Dosher and Chuck Hulse will get their day in the sun and the opportunity to tell their stories. It should be a great weekend inKnoxville,Iowa, for anyone who truly enjoys sprint car racing history.”
