Professional Ag Services Night at the Races I-35 Speedway
WINSTON, MO (September 5, 2015) – E-Modified would start the night’s racing action nineteen strong as heat race winner Anthony Asher #20xa would again see the checkers first on this night of racing. Asher would be challenged by early leader and other heat race winner Allie Mulich #90, who would go on to place second. Rookie contenders Derek Carney #05 and Jacob Blair #81 would do battle to the line with Carney placing third and Blair fourth. Casey Burnett #23b would race his way to a solid fifth place finish. Other heat race winner was Daniel Harris #319 who was among the front runners until a turn one mishap would take him from contention.
Hobby Stocks would see point leader Mich Ross #34 add another victory to an already impressive 2015 racing season. Heat race winner Conner Masoner #47x would end the night second with Jim Masoner #99 third and Carson Masoner #13x fourth.
Back in action again at I-35 Speedway the Show-Me Vintage Racers would put on one of the best racing features of the night. Jim Clevenger #76 would take the early lead and appear on his way to the victory until heat race winner Darren Shaw #6 would come from last on the field and make a daring high side move in turn two to claim the nights win. Clevenger would go on to place second with Mickey Fleethart #7 third. Lonnie Farley #44 and Jeremy Steenstry #22 would battle to the line with Farley fourth and Steenstry fifth. Other heat race winner was #711 of Brian Strong.
Grand Nationals, in the closest point battle this year, would see Donnie Brown #26 again hold off all challengers and claim a trip to McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle. Brown was challenged every step of the way by heat race winner Buz Kaster #54 who would place second. Marty Powell #9p would have an impressive showing and place third with Houston Johnson #97 fourth and Austin Johnson #98 fifth.
USRA B-Modifieds would see the battle of first and second in points finish first and second on the track, with second in the points edging first in points for the win. Heat race winner Randy Ainsworth #57 would take the early lead and not be denied, holding off all challengers to his first win on the season. Heat race winner and point leader Tim Eaton #211 would challenge Ainsworth only to settle for second. Clint Baker #17x would race his way to third with Doug Keller #77 fourth. Shadren Turner #17t would round out the night’s top five. Other heat race winner was Ronnie Miller #76 would develop mechanical problems taking him from contention.
USRA Stock Cars again would put on a great show for all the fans in attendance. Dean Wray #77 continues his hot streak picking up his fifth win in a row at I-35 Speedway. Thomas Roberts #65x would race his way to second with heat race winner Jon Boller Jr #20x slipping to finish third. Other heat race winner Nate Barnes #29 would hold off the hard charge of Billie Hoover #21h to place fourth with Hoover fifth.
USRA Modifieds would see a very controversial finish to the nights racing action. Heat race winner Anthony Logston #38 would lead every lap, driving a near flawless race until contact would snatch the win away on the last turn of the last lap. When the checkers were shown heat race winner Michael Dotson #55d was declared the winner. Zach Sanders #69 would take advantage of the turn four mayhem to place second leaving Logston to finish third. Big mover of the feature was Robbie Reed #5 who would start dead last on the field and race his way to finish fourth. Sam Florence #42 would be a front runner all night finishing fifth.
I-35 Speedway would like to thank Matt Dorssom #3D E-Modified for the donation of two bicycles that were given away during Intermission activities. See Everyone Next week as the Non-Wing Sprint Cars invade on Lake Road Warehouse Night at the Races.
