Dominacki delivers at Davenport Cheater Races

DAVENPORT, Ia. (September 19, 2015) – The Night of Destruction, the final event of the 2015 racing season at the Davenport Speedway, was a smashing success. Cheater races were held in four classes and followed by the always exciting trailer race.
Bob Dominacki continued his dominance in the Modified cheater race. After problems in his heat race, Bob switched his sheet metal over to Rob Dominacki’s car, started dead last and nearly lapped the entire field. Ray Cox Jr. was the only other car to finish on the lead lap. Mike Guldenpfennig, Jake Waterman, and Josh Starr rounded out the top five.
Jeremy Marquette dropped back down to his old car in the Street Stock main and put it back in victory lane. Ben Gallentine led the first four laps of the race and finished second. Keith Blum took third over Randy Lamar and Ron Turner.
SportMod action saw David Norton pick up his first feature win of the year. Norton led flag to flag, despite three cautions. Mike McGarry finished second with Aaron Hitt third. Brandon Jewell and Rance Powell finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Brandon Setser won the 4-Stock feature. Setser held the early race lead, but on lap five Andy Wagener went to the front. Setser got the lead back when Wagener’s motor started to misfire. Eric Stogdell also got by Wagener in the final laps. Wagner held on for third, followed by Rob Harding Jr. and Dustin Forbes.
Stan Stockwell won the Trailer Race in the vehicle named “Nasty D”. Ray Brown was second with Kevin O’tool third. Shelby Walsh was voted the fan favorite with his entry “Tow-mater”.
