Rain Washes Out QC Speedway

EAST MOLINE, IL (June 3, 2012) – After just three hot lap sessions Sunday night at the Quad City Speedway the rain began to fall ultimately ending the night’s scheduled events. The Quad City Speedway staff along with several drivers attempted to save the track but after a couple IMCA Late Model drivers hot lapped for a few laps it was decided by the drivers that the track was not in the proper condition for racing. The silver lining to the night was that $250 was raised in the 50/50 by the fans for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Racing action returns to the Quad City Speedway this Sunday, June 10th, with weekly racing in the Sexton Ford IMCA Late Models, Extreme Auto Glass Street Stocks, Orion Tire Repair IMCA Modifieds, Verplaetse Excavating & Trucking A-Modifieds, Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders plus the Mod Lites. All fans and drivers are reminded that their tickets and pit passes from this past Sunday’s (6/3/12) rain out are good for this Sunday’s (6/10/12) and any other Sunday night weekly racing program.
