#39 Chris Heitman, Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racer Feature Winner!!!

  After a great weekend at the Smokin Trackside Barbecue and Beer Bash at I-35 Speedway the night of great racing action kicked off with the always exciting Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racers taking the track. Chris Heitman #39 would take the early lead until heat race winner Andy Wiles #53 would charge to the second position and challenge for the top spot. Slight contact between the two would send Wiles to the infield with a damaged right front allowing Heitman to continue out front. As the race continued, contact between James Hubbard #20 and Andrew Buffington would send the #3 of Buffington barrel rolling down the front straight.  Buffington would emerge from the crash unscaved. When the green was again shown to the field Heitman would hold off all challengers and pick up his first ever feature win at I-35 Speedway. Jack Simmons #J2 would charge through the pack to challenge late but be forced to settle for second on this night. Third place would go to Dale Reese #77R with Dave Petty Jr #46 fourth and Andy Wiles placing fifth.

#19X “Magic Man” Joshua Munsen, E-Modified Feature Winner!!!

  E-Modified would see magic in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle as Josh Munsen #19X would pick up the feature win. Munsen would not be denied holding off heat race winners Jim Masoner #66X who was second and Derek Carney #05, who was the big mover of the feature placing third. Fourth place would go to one time leader Corey Myers #15 as he would recover from an early race mishap to place fourth. Kaelynn Peterman #03K continues to improve and notched her best finish to date with a very solid fifth place showing.

 

 #20X “The Gamer” Carson Masoner, Pure Stock Feature Winner!!!

  Pure Stock would be a little low in number but very high in quality as Carson Masoner #20X would win both heat race and feature on this night of racing action. Masoner would be challenged late by second place finisher Cody King #29 and Tobin Bartlett #28 who would come home in the third position. Anthony Persell #87 would be in the hunt for the lead all race slipping to fourth in the final stages with Colten Ishmael #17i rounding out the nights top five in Pure Stock. 

 

 #46 Dillon Raffurty, Mod Lite Feature Winner!!!

  Mod Lites were sixteen strong as they pulled on to the fast 3/8ths mile of dirt and pout on a great show for the fans in attendance. Heat race winner Dillon Raffurty #46 would take the early lead from an outside front row starting position and never look back seeing the checkers first and claiming the feature win. Another heat race winner would challenge in David Raffurty #76 but to no avail and place second with big mover and shaker of the race Ryan Ayers #19 placing third. Ed Griggs #47 would end the night fourth with fifth place going to the #64 of other heat race winner Mike Raffurty.

 

 #54 “Wamba” Buz Kaster, Charger Feature Winner!!!

  Chargers would witness Hall of Famer Buz Kaster #54 win both heat race and feature parking in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Second would go to Houston Johnson #97 with third to Travis Walker #71. Fourth place would see Billie Hoover #154 with John Hanson #98H developing trouble placing fifth.

 

 #11S “Storming” Steve Starmer, USRA B-Modified Feature Winner!!!

  USRA B-Modifieds would see heat race winner Nic Hanes #17X take the lead and appear to be the car to beat throughout the feature event. As the race progressed, current point leader and other heat race winner Steve Starmer 11S would emerge from the pack to challenge as a late race caution would bunch the field for a dash to the checkers. On the restart Hanes would slip ever so slightly in turn number two opening the door for Starmer to slip by on the inside and take the lead and pick up the feature win. Hanes would place second with the always consistent and smooth Randy Ainsworth #57 third. Zach Sanders #77 would again do double duty and place fourth with Daniel Harris #07 a solid fifth on the night. Hard Charger money was put up and Dustin Crist #222 would pick up the extra cash claiming that hard charger title.

  

#93 Sam Scott, USRA Stock Car Feature Winner!!!

  USRA Stock Cars would see it all, controversy and a first time winner in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Heat race winner Jason Estes #997 would take the early lead with a slide job in turn two and hold the top spots for several circuits until other heat race winner Dean Wray #77 would make his move on Estes. When the smoke cleared and the green would be shown to the field Jeremiah Asher #37 would be the leader. Asher would lead but only briefly as Sam Scott #93 would race through the pack from a fifth row starting spot to wrestle the top spot from Asher. Scott would not be denied as he would park his Monte Carlo in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle for the first time ever at I-35 Speedway. Asher would finish a close second with Craig Reynolds #14XX third. Billie Hoover would race his #21H to the fourth spot with Estes recovering after a trip to the hot lane to place fifth.

 

 #78 Derrick Hicks, USRA Modified Feature Winner!!!

  USRA Modifieds would see Derrick Hicks #78 lead every lap of his heat race and every lap of the feature to pick up his second feature win of the 2016 racing season at I-35 Speedway. Other heat race winner Dennis Elliott #29 would challenge Hicks but would have to settle for second with a consistent Houston Johnson #97 ending the night third. Fourth place would go to Darren Shaw #11 with Bill Baker #03 a close fifth as the feature came to an end.

  

#21J Jake “The Snake” Hoover, Heartland Missions & Motorsports Kids Power Wheels Winner!

  Heartland Missions and Motorsports Kids Power Wheels would see action on the front straight with Jake Hoover #21J picking up his second feature win of the year.
