National Sprint League Makes Final Stop of Season at Knoxville Raceway This Saturday
Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Aug. 22, 2016) – The National Sprint League will make its final visit of the season to Knoxville Raceway this Saturday.
The half-mile oval in Knoxville, Iowa, has hosted eight NSL events this season with one other date rained out.
Brian Brown, Kerry Madsen and Sammy Swindell each have two feature victories with Danny Lasoski and Ian Madsen also scoring National Sprint League wins at Knoxville Raceway this season.
Lasoski, who has secured the track championship at Knoxville Raceway, is entrenched with Craig Dollansky for the 2016 NSL title. Lasoski enters this weekend with an 82-point lead in the championship standings.
However, with a maximum of 440 points per event available big swings are known to happen race by race. Lasoski and Dollansky have already swapped the points lead five times this season and have produced a championship battle that looks like it will go down to the final lap of the year.
Tickets for this Saturday’s event at Knoxville Raceway are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 13 to 19 and free for ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $25.
Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. with qualifying at 7:15 p.m.
The Cushion will provide live Pay-Per-View video from the race at http://www.TheCushion.com.
