REBEL 5K returns to Davenport Speedway April 12th

 

MAQUOKETA, Ia. (April 3, 2019) – Just like the Daytona 500 jump starts the NASCAR season, the local racing scene will launch into high gear with the REBEL 5K at the Davenport Speedway. The event is promoted by DRT TRAK Racing Inc., and features the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA late models, racing for a top prize of $5,000-to-win.

 

The REBEL 5K, on Friday, April 12^th, will mark the twenty-fifth time the late model series has competed at Davenport Speedway. The Deery Brothers Summer Series last appeared at Davenport, in September 2018, for the Iowa Governor’s Cup. Andy Nezworski of Buffalo, Iowa was the feature winner.

 

Also racing at the REBEL 5K will be Modifieds, Street Stocks, and SportMods. All support classes will be using a draw/re-draw format. All racing will be on the half-mile dirt oval.

 

Tickets for the REBEL 5K are $20 for adults, students and seniors $18, and children 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.
