Bowers, Nichols, Rudolf, Masoner and Miles all Winners at Bethany Speedway on Opening Night!!!

WINSTON, MO (April 6, 2019) – Pure Stock would kick of the night with great racing action as heat winner Conner Masoner #47X would take the early lead from a front row starting position. Tyler Starmer #11s would put pressure to Masoner and take advantage of an early race slip passing for the lead. Masoner would mount a come back and make the move back around Starmer and never look back clinching the feature win. Starmer would place second with Brandon Hoover #27 coming home in the third position.

E-Modified would be low in number but maybe one of the most entertaining to watch as heat winner Ronnie Miles #10, Andrea Nelson #.308 and Cody Parrott #15 would battle the entire feature. Miles would take the lead early, but Nelson would give chase try high and low but was unable to get slipping and dancing on the track. Nelson would slip a few times in turn four allowing Parrott to get the second position. Nelson would continue to fight on the race track to the very end of the feature trying to catch the speedy Miles. When the dust would settle Miles would stand tall in NAPA Auto Parts Winners Circle with Nelson second and Parrott third. Gary Ainsworth #14 was in attendance but developed mechanical issues and was unable to compete.

#10 “Rolling” Ronnie Miles from Mt Moriah, MO E-Modified Feature Winner!

IMCA Sport Mods never disappoint and tonight’s action would prove no different as the lead would change hands many times throughout the feature. RJ Dishong #41 would use a front row starting position to take the lead and appear to be set for the win until a caution would bunch the field of competitors. On a mid-race restart Chase Rudolf #8R would make a daring move on the high side of turn two and take the lead from Dishong. Rudolf would gradually pull away from the rest of the field and capture the win in his first ever trip to Bethany Speedway. Jeffrey Sears #13J would move to the inside of the track and claim second with heat race winner Randy Smith Jr #20X a solid third. Fourth place would see 2018 IMCA Sport Mod Track Champion Josh Munsen as Colton Nelson #93N would battle back from an early race mishap to place fifth on the night. Other heat race winner was Nic Hanes #9H.

#8R Chase “Run Run” Rudolf from Norwalk, IA IMCA Sport Mod Feature Winner!

IMCA Stock Car was next to take to the track and would see a mix up coming of turn two collect our heat winner Anthony Whitham #26 and several of the other contenders. Once racing continued Mike Nichols #63 would set a blistering pace on the speedway and cruise to the victory as he closes in on the all time IMCA win record. Other heat winner Mich Ross #34X would battle his way to a second place showing with Brad Derry’s #37D impressing with a solid third place finish. A great race ensued for the fourth position as Blake Peeler #292 would edge Conner Masoner for the spot leaving the 47X to place fifth.

 

 

 

 

#63 Mike Nichols from Harlan, IA IMCA Stock Car Feature Winner!

Fans would sense the excitement as IMCA Modifieds took to the track with a loaded field of competitors. Heat winner Richard Spriggs #81 and Jeff James #71 would set the pace early battling back and fourth for the front until Steven Bowers Jr #77 worked his way through traffic to challenge for the lead. Bowers and James would race hard and clean putting pressure on each other until James would slip in turn four allowing bowers to take the front. Bowers would not look back nor be denied and pick up the feature win. James would challenge heat and feature winner Bowers but be forced to finish second on this night of racing. Clay Hale #22H would recover from and early race mishap to capture third with Spriggs ending the night fourth.  Dustin Miller in his first time out in IMCA Modified would impress with a solid fifth place finish.
