STREET STOCK 50 paying $2,000-to-win at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (June 27, 2012) – Friday the 13th will prove lucky for one area Street Stock driver as the Davenport Speedway will host the Street Stock 50, on the second Friday in July. The main event of the evening will pay $2,000 to win.

Usually such events are held after the regular point season has ended. Due to an already packed post-season slate at the Davenport Speedway, the race has been moved up to July.

The Street Stock feature will be 50-laps, with 20 cars making the main. The Street Stocks will use a draw/re-draw format. There will be a $50 entry fee for the Street Stocks, for this event.

Also racing at Davenport, on July 13th, will be IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and 4 Stocks, all competing for weekly racing points.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

Grandstand admission for the event will be: Adults $15, Teens/Seniors $14, 10 and under free with a paid adult.
