SIS Rained Out, Next Up Kids Bike Night

 

Oskaloosa, Iowa: For the first time in 2023 the racing action at the Southern Iowa Speedway located on the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds fell victim to wet conditions. Overnight rains and rains again Wednesday morning left the grounds to wet for racing on Wednesday, June 7^th.

Racing action will return on Wednesday, June 14^th with five classes in action on Van Utrecht Farms & Trucking and Stout Trucking Bike night. This is always a very popular night as several kids in attendance will be going home with a brand new bicycle.

Wednesday, June 21^st will see the return of the High powered Late Models as the “Haulin with Hoker” East Series of the Super Late Models will make their first ever visit to the Mahaska County Monster ½ mile. This will be the Kraig Ford sponsored Gary Wilson Memorial Night as the Late Models will make their first visit since 2016. All weekly classes with the exception of the non-wing sprint cars will be in action.

Wednesday night racing action at the Southern Iowa Speedway gets underway at 7:15 with hot laps and racing follows.
