STREET STOCK 50 this Friday at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (July 11, 2012) – The weather may have cooled down a bit, but there will be plenty of hot racing action this Friday at the Davenport Speedway.  The quarter-mile dirt oval will host the Street Stock 50, paying $2,000 to win.

Also racing at Davenport, on July 13th, will be IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and 4 Stocks, all competing for weekly racing points.  In addition, the 4-Stocks and IMCA Modifieds will run make-up features that were rained out on June 29th.

The Street Stock feature will be 50-laps, with 20 cars making the main. The Street Stocks will use a draw/re-draw format. There will be a $50 entry fee for the Street Stocks, for this event.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

Grandstand admission for the event will be: Adults $15, Teens/Seniors $14, 10 and under free with a paid adult.
