FAMILY FARMERS & ILMO PRODUCTS PRESENTS WINGED SPRINT CAR / LATE MODEL DOUBLE HEADER
MACON, IL (July 24, 2012) – This Saturday night, fans at the Mighty Macon Speedway will be dazzled by the high flying action of The Midwest Open Wheel Associations (MOWA) 410 Winged Sprint Cars and UMP Super Late Models on one action packed evening!
The MOWA Sprint Car event is the finale of Illinois Sprint week that powerslides through the central part of the state on a four day tour. The race will mark this season’s only appearance for the wild winged sprinters at Macon, and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Series promoter Kenny Dobson agreed, “Macon Speedway is a great track for these cars, it always makes for an exciting show”.
Points leader A.J. Bruns heads into the week just eleven points ahead of last season’s title champion, Jerrod Hull. The tight points battle is a testament to the close competition of the winged warriors, and this event should prove to be spectacular!
Also, in a rare double header, fans will enjoy the feature division UMP Super Late Models. These ground pounders will be competing for UMP Championship points and always provide thrilling door to door excitement on the Macon high banks.
The action packed evening will also feature UMP Street Stocks, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, and the always entertaining Pro and Amateur Hornets. Tickets may be purchased at the gate for only $20 with kids 11& under free. Pit gates will open at 4pm, Grandstands will open at 5pm, with racing action beginning at 7pm.
