EAST MOLINE, IL (August 12, 2012) – A busy night at the Quad City Speedway was scheduled for Sunday night but Mother Nature had other plans. Eight feature events were scheduled for Sunday night that included two make-up features from last Sunday night and the normal weekly six features.
The first race of the night was the make-up Mod Lite feature. Moline’s Anthony Guss would put on a dominating performance. Guss would lead every lap of the caution free feature. Shon Sanders would take second followed by Bryan Brinker, Andrew Smith and David Norton.
The Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders ran their make-up feature next with John Scott III picking up an impressive win. Scott held off all comers and led every lap in the caution free feature. Josh Sharpe came from ninth to finish second followed Zach Dahl, Aaron Hitt, and Wade Dahl.
After all the heat races were completed the rains began to fall, ending the night’s program early. The six make-up features will be split up over the next two weeks. This Sunday, August 19th, the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and IMCA Late Models will have their make-up features. The following Sunday, August 26th, the Mod Lites, UMP Modifieds, 4-Cylinders will have their make-up features.
