Lucas Cattle Company Returns as Title Sponsor for ULMA!

ULMA (January 16, 2013) – For the first time the United Late Model Association (ULMA) has a returning title sponsor. Lucas Cattle Company recently notified officials that 2013 will mark the second straight year it will return as title sponsor. ULMA is extremely grateful to remain part of the Lucas Cattle Company family and is most excited for drivers hitting the tracks during the upcoming season. This business partnership brings stability and credibility to ULMA as top-performing drivers at season’s end can rest assured their hard work and dedication throughout the season will once again be justly rewarded.
Lucas Cattle Company strives to bring cattlemen across the nation the finest Simmental genetics available; likewise, ULMA strives to bring late model racers together at weekly and special-events. Since inception, Lucas Cattle Company has grown its head of Simmental cows to 2,000 while since its own inception; ULMA has sanctioned over 300 events with 45 different drivers claiming victories. Over 50 events make up the 2013 schedule with races slated to begin in April and continue to late September. ULMA’s seventh year of sanctioning weekly and special-events late model racing is shaping up to be its strongest season yet.
A trio of pre-season events lies just around the corner for ULMA prior to action beginning in April. At all of the scheduled events, ULMA membership will cost $75, a savings of $25 for completing paperwork prior to the savings deadline of April 1. After the deadline, membership increases to $100 for the remainder of the year. ULMA membership is mandatory at all participating tracks and special events.
Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri, formerly known as 24 Raceway, is under new ownership and management for the 2013 season and ULMA late models will be part of the action. A Driver’s Meet and Greet is scheduled for Saturday, January 19 at Noon in the conference of the Moberly Best Western. ULMA officials will be on-site to answer questions and to sign up members for the season. In other Randolph Country Raceway news, the track recently announced its late model champion will claim a prize of $1,500 with prize money set for the remaining top ten in the final standings as well. A new race surface, new track equipment, and several facility and grounds changes await drivers and fans returning in 2013.
The second pre-season event takes place the following weekend on Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 with the annual Bodee’s Racers Auction and Trade Show. ULMA will have an exhibiter’s table at the event to distribute rules, schedules, answer questions, meet drivers, and complete membership paperwork. This two-day event takes place at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fair Grounds in Sedalia, Missouri. The third and final pre-season event ULMA will participate in is the 15th Annual Auto Swap Meet in Columbia, Missouri, which takes place on February 16/17 on the Boone County Fairgrounds.

The website also features a complete history of ULMA racing and the membership form, which may be printed from the site, completed, and mailed to ULMA if drivers are unable to make any of the pre-season events. The $25 savings in place for the three pre-season events also applies to mail-in memberships until April 1, 2013. ULMA will sanction weekly racing at Lucas Oil Speedway, Randolph County Raceway, and Callaway Raceway.
