WINSTON, MO (April 28, 2012) – 102 cars packed the pits for AAA Transmission night at I-35 Speedway. The Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racers roared into I-35 Speedway for the first time in 2012 and brought 14 cars with them.
Truman Asher of St. Joseph, Missouri picked up win number 1 on the year in the IMCA SportMods. Asher coming off a good end to the 2011 season was picked to be one of the front runners in 2012 and has had some good finishes this season. Points leader Chad Clancy of Smithville, Missouri finished second for the second straight week. Another guy who had a good 2011 season is Excelsior Springs, Missouri driver Randy Ainsworth who finished third tonight followed by last season champion Mike Tanner of Kansas City, Missouri in fourth and Brad Whitney of Trenton, Missouri was fifth. Whitney who didn’t make his heat due to fatherly prom duties gained seventeen spots to win the hard charger.

Jeff Dixon from Jamesport, Missouri and Jake Cameron from Winston rounded off the top five. Roberts gained ten spots to win the hard charger award.

Woods had a great run with Jason Estes of Winston, Missouri and Cory Wray of Jamesport, Missouri midway through the 20 lap A-Feature.
