Driver registrations sent, includes schedule changes

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (Feb. 19, 2013) – Independence Motor Speedway registration forms for the 2013 season have been mailed. Driver registration and pit stall reservation forms for the upcoming season were included in the mailer. 

Drivers who have not received their 2013 registration information are able to print the forms by visiting the track web site, www.independencemotorspeedway.com, then clicking on Registration Forms under the Track Info tab on the home page. 

Registration fees did not increase this season and discounts are available to those who submit their paperwork and payment by March 15. 

A copy of the 2013 schedule was sent with the mailer, which included changes from the tentative schedule released in January. Due to scheduling conflicts, two events have been changed. 

The April 13 Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series special has been removed from the schedule as track and CBC officials work to find a new date for that event. This will make the Friday, April 19 Open Wheel Shootout featuring the Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Sprint Invaders, Modifieds and SportMods the track’s season opener. 

The Entry Level Extravaganza has also been changed from Tuesday, June 4, to Thursday, June 6.
