Bub McCool Wins Second Straight; WoO Triple Shot Next
Vicksburg, MS (MARCH 19, 2013) – On Saturday night for the second straight event Bub McCool raced his #57J McCool Logging/Southern Belle/Schaeffer Oil/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to a special event win.
Bub McCool carried his recent momentum into battle on Saturday night as he entered the season opener for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model tour at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi). While McCool’s main intent for the $2,500-to-win event was to get track time for the upcoming World of Outlaws event at the 1/3 mile oval, he would accomplish another goal by claiming the feature win!
Thirty Super Late Models filled the pit area for the event, and after setting fast time in his group and overall he locked into the pole sitter’s dash. A win in the dash earned him the pole for the 50 lap feature with Ronny Lee Hollingsworth joining him on the front row. As the race went green Hollingsworth jumped to the lead with McCool in tow. A few laps later McCool bolted into the top spot and never looked back on his way to his second win of the 2013 campaign. He was followed across the line by Chris Wall, BJ Robinson, Chad Thrash, and Brian Rickman. Full results from the event are available at www.StateSeries.com .
This weekend Bub will take on a tripleheader with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model tour in the South as he enters a trio of $10,000-to-win events. The action begins on Friday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) before moving to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday, and then concluding at Duck River Speedway (Wheel, Tennessee) on Sunday evening.
