Springfield Raceway Prepares For 1st Annual Military Honor USRA Modified 25 On May 26th
SPRINGFIELD, MO (May 15, 2012) – Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have announced that the “Quick-Quarter” will be hosting the 1st annual Military Honor 25 for the USRA Modifieds on Saturday May 26th with the winner taking home $800 to win the feature and $100 to start the Main Event.
This event will feature a full night of Transport Graphics Championship Chase events with all classes scheduled to compete for track and National Points.
The USRA Budweiser Modified highlight the features each week at Springfield and provides some of the best Modified Racing across the Midwest each week as they will battle for USRA Track and National Points.
The Modified will open draw to set-up qualifying heat races and will qualify through passing points to set-up the feature line-up.The top 8 point cars will redraw for the 1st 4 rows in this 25 lap feature.There will be a $25 car entry fee and pit passes will be $25.
Pit gates will open around 4PM with drivers draw cut-off for the USRA Modified to stop at 6:15.Any driver checking in after cut-off will start tailback in a heat,but will receive no passing points.Hot laps will start at 6PM and drivers meeting will be at 5:40.
Supporting the Military Honor event will be USRA B-Mods,Midwest Modz,Legends,Young Lions,Pure Stocks and Street Stocks with regular Springfield line-up procedures and rules applying.
