$10,000 was paid out to the drivers, as well as several gift certificates and contingency awards were given at the banquet.

Following the banquet meal, Amy Laue, 34 Raceway co-owner, began the night recognizing the 2013 Season Track Champions including Mark Burgtorf (Late Models), Mitch Morris (IMCA Modifieds), John Schulz

Co-owners Jeff and Amy Laue, Tom and Sue Bowling and Scott and Lorrie Parish wanted to put the rumors to rest… their ownership will continue for their eighth year at 34 Raceway. With their busy lives and careers, and the possibility of pursuing other business opportunities, they will continue to look for the perfect person who can dedicate 100% of their abilities and time into continuing the longstanding success and operations of 34 Raceway and to take over the tremendous task of owning and operating a race track. They again will  continue to give race fans another season of quality racing as well as bringing in more “big” shows.

Along with the regular Saturday night divisions race fans will see the best take on the 3/8 mile. The World of Outlaws Sprints will return again this year following a grandstand filling, crowd pleasing show in 2013. Also on the schedule will be the Sprint Invaders, MOWA 410 Outlaw Sprints, Slocum 50 Cornbelt/MARS/ALMS Super Late Models in honor of Brent Slocum paying $10,000 to win,and the Pepsi UMP Late Models Hell Tour Summer Nationals among them.

Laue also was pleased to announce that for the first time in several years they will be raising the purses in ALL classes at

34 Raceway in the upcoming season. A special thank you to Eric & Ashley Ryner from Ryner Transportion  who will be taking over the sponsorship of the IMCA Modified class sponsorship.

Along with the best in racing from the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, 305 Sprints, IMCA Stock Cars, Mod Lites and 4 Cylinders race fans will see Quads, Pit Bikes, Bikes and Side by Sides scheduled throughout the year.

The season begins on March 15 and 16 with the much anticipated and popular Midwest Performance  & Power Westland Mall Car Show. The season kick off party will be held at Roederers Pit Shop in Burlington on Saturday night, March 15.

Test and Tune will be held Saturday, March 22 and the first racing event will be held on Saturday, March 29 with the Sprint Invaders Season Opener.

The evening showed the generousity and caring of the 34 Raceway family when $1300 was raised through a raffle for a 34 Raceway Season Pit Pass for the family of Chad Gall who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
