Dustin Whiting - Burlington , Ia wins Mid America 305 Sprints Feature at the Bloomfield Speedway Friday August 29

BLOOMFIELD, IA (August 29) - Mid-America 305 sprints Dustin Whiting of West Burlington took the win his first of the 2008 season with Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. Trying to close the gap but just run out of time finishing in second with Ryan Voss in third with Chad Huston in fourth and Mitchell Alexander taking fifth after leading the first six laps. Huston was crowned the 305 sprint champion.

BLOOMFIELD, IA (August 22) - The Mid-America 305 Winged Sprints feature saw sixty-three year old racer Bob Lamb of Mitchellville take his first win at the Mountain-Dew Bloomfield Speedway and after he got the safety gear off he did the wing dance in victory lane.

OSKALOOSA, IA (August 14) - The Mid-America 305 Sprints payed there second appearance of the 2008 season with Tasker Phillips staying perfect with the win. Phillips battled with Chad Huston of Jamesport, Mo. And Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. Who tried to hold off the young gun just turning sixteen years of age on August 12th and has three out of the last four outings. Huston heldon on for the runner-up spot with Lynch in third and last years champion Mike Mayberry of Fremont in fourth.

OSKALOOSA, IA (July 16) - The Mid-America 305 Sprint Car feature went to fifteen year old up a coming star Tasker Phillips of Pleasantville who lead all fifteen laps to take the win. Phillips held off several challenges from Omaha, Ne. driver Matt Stelzer who tried several time to make the pass on the bottom side of the speedway but took the second spot with Chad Huston of Jamesport, Mo. Taking the third spot and Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. Finish fourth helping to add to his point lead with a another good and consistent finish.

BLOOMFIELD, IA (July 11) - Mid-America 305 Winged Sprints feature with Chad Huston of Jamesport, Mo. And Josh Padelford of Pleasantville leading the field to the green for the sixteen lap event. Padelford taking the lead into turns one and two and paced the field the first seven laps before caution would fly for the #7 machine of Tasker Phillips of Pleasantville spinning after contact with the 7h of Chad Huston. On the restart Padelford would restart with Matt Stephenson of Des Moines getting a good restart and him and Padelford would battle for the lead with Stephenson taking the lead and would lead the final seven laps holding off a late race charge from Cedar Rapids driver Justin Gianetto who took the second spoit with Padelford in third and Huston in fourth and current point leader Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. Taking the fifth spot.

ELDON, IA (July 5) - The Mid-America 305 Winged sprints took the green flag with Tasker Phillips and Louis Lynch on the front row but the red flag would fly for Phillips machine in turn three. This would restart the fifteen lap main event with Louis Lynch and Chad Huston battling for the lead with Huston taking the lead and built a nice size lead before the caution flag flew for Patrick Long spinning in turn four.

On the restart Josh Padellford of Pleasantville would get and nice restart and take over the second spot from Lynch with Huston still leading. Another caution would close the field up after Marty Stephenson of Mitchellville spun in turn one.

This would setup a four lap shootout with Huston hanging on for the win over Padellford with Lynch in third and Bob Lamb of Mitchellville in fourth.

ELDON, IA (June 19) -
The Mid-America 305 Winged Sprint Car feature went to Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. taking the race lead from the pole position and leading all fourteen laps for his second straight win at the super half-mile. The action would stop twice for Brian Hetrick of Strong Hurst, IL. Making contact with the turn three wall and Tasker Phillips getting upside down in turn one bringing out the red.

The battle for the second spot between Mike Mayberry of Fremont and Bob Lamb of Mitchellville going wheel-to-wheel with Lamb making the pass with four laps remaining with Mayberry taking third and New London driver Scott Boles in fourth.

BLOOMFIELD, IA (May 9) - The Mid America Winged 305 Sprint Cars season opener took the field at Bloomfield, Iowa on Friday May 9, 2008. Thirteen drivers made the trip to Bloomfield.

The 87 of Cale Hutchings scratched from the nights events after breaking a rearend in hotlaps. On Lap 6 Mike Mayberry exited the Track with motor problems.

On lap 8 the 53 of Patrick long exited the race in turn four. Lap 9 Mile Mayberry pulled in due to an on track incident. Chad Huston flipped in turn four, ending his run for the night. Josh Padelford pulled in before the restart because of the loss of power steering. On the restart Rob Kubli took the lead from Louis Lynch. Kubli continued to lead the pack to the Checkered Flag.

OSKALOOSA, IA (Aug 29, 2007) - The 2007 Mid-American 305's Season Championship race took place Wednesday night at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

MEMPHIS, MO (August 18, 2007) - The final feature of the night was the 15 lap Mid-America 305 Sprints, with Marty Stephenson and Josh Padellford drawing the front row.

BLOOMFIELD, IA (Aug 17) - The Mid-America 305 Winged Sprint Cars capped off the night and looked to have the smoothest race going green to checkered but Monte Hill of Fairfield spun in turn 2 on the 15th lap, setting up a green-white-checkered shootout.

WEST BURLINGTON, IA (May 19) - The Mid American Wing 305's headed to Burlington, Iowa. There were 15 drivers who made the haul. With the Burlington 305s weekly drivers.

 


Bloomfield, Ia. (May 11) - The Mid-America 305 Winged Sprints in action for the first appearance at the Bloomfield Speedway with Chad Huston of Jamesport, Mo. and Mike Mayberry of Fremont leading the field to the green flag.
Huston would set a blistering pace and looked to have his first win of his carrier in hand.

 


305 sprints, former Knoxville Raceway competitor Steve Breazeale made a last lap pass to emerge the winner. The 12-lap feature found Zach Clark leading after one lap. He was soon passed by Clint Garner who held that spot for three rounds. Up from a third row start came teenager Trish Dover as she roared by on the low side exiting turn two to take the lead.
