WINSTON, MO (July 27, 2024) – Another great night at the races brought 89 total cars, lots of competitive racing and a grandstand full of fans ready to watch the dirt racing action! We had our final make-up features from the rainout on June 22nd, with the USRA Modifieds and the Sport Compacts running double features tonight. In those make-up features, Tyler Hibner fended off his father Lee Hibner to snag his 9th feature win this season. Alvin Cooney used his front row starting spot and a super-fast car to win the Sport Compact make-up feature.

Back to the regular scheduled night of racing, Tony Layne parked his E-Modified in victory lane for the 3rd consecutive week. Layne also handed out an autographed trophy from his previous win to a lucky fan during intermission. In the Pure Stock feature, CJ Turner grabbed his 1st feature win of the season, passing James Silkwood and Isaac Dixon in the closing stages. Chris Mercer also found himself in victory lane for the 1st time this season in the USRA Stock Cars, holding his ground against a fast-charging Nic Hanes who finished 2nd.

Ethan Isaacs had to fight off his brother Lucas in the USRA B-Modifieds to grab his 2nd win of the season at I-35. Lucas Isaacs would finish 2nd. The family feud continued in the Vintage Open feature, as Mike Lefholz held off his father Ron to snag his 4th feature win this season.

Tyler Hibner parked in victory lane twice in one night, holding off a hard charging Houston Johnson in the USRA Modifieds. Johnson got collected in an accident early in the race but was able to race back up to finish in 2nd. Alvin Cooney was also able to cash in on the 2-for-1 opportunity, as he brings home his 4th and 5th feature wins this season. Mark Dotson brought home the trophy in the Limited Late Model series, win number 4 on the season for Dotson. And after car trouble last week, Grant Sheetz won the Jr. Sport Compact feature. Sheetz has tallied 14 wins so far this season.

Thank you to all the race fans that come out and support I-35 each and every week. We had another action packed and fast paced night of racing. With the addition of the 2 make-up feature races, we still completed all of the racing by 10:15. Thank you to all the drivers for bringing your best to the track and putting on a great show.

Thank you to everyone involved at I-35 Speedway for keeping the track fast, the drivers safe and the fans happy. We race every Saturday night until the end of October, be sure to come out to the track for a great night of racing! Full results for 7/27/24 posted below:
