Benton County Speedway hosts Hogan Memorial on July 14

VINTON, Iowa (July 9, 2013) – The winner of the Hogan Memorial can nearly triple their money with a long run at the front of the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature field this Sunday, July 14 at Benton County Speedway.

The headline event pays $1,250 to win and an¬other $50 for each of the 40 laps led, plus $250 to the leader at midway.

That makes for a potential payoff of $3,500. If not already vote eligible, the winner will be added to the ballot for the 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invi¬tational during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.   A minimum of $150 will be paid to make the starting grid. Each heat race winner earns $100. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Belleville Motorsports North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show for Modifieds.

A mandatory caution will be thrown for a five minute break midway through the feature, with all cars stopping on the frontstretch. Two former race winners and the top two drivers in local track points who do not qualify will receive provi¬sional starts.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will vie for all applicable IMCA points.

There is no entry fee for any division.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing to follow.

Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-13, with five and under admitted free. Pit passes are $25.
