CJ Speedway Announces the Hiring of a New Promoter for 2016
Columbus Junction, IA (Thursday, October 1, 2015) – Even though the 2015 season has come to an end at the CJ Speedway in Columbus Junction, Iowa, fans and drivers will be happy to hear about the news being released about the 2016 season.
Tony Humiston, president of the Louisa County Fair Board, is proud to announce the hiring of Brian Neal as the new promoter of the CJ Speedway for the 2016 season. Brian has been around racing for the past 30 years. But for the past 12 years he has worked at several local tracks in some kind of a capacity.
“It’s has always been a dream of mine to be able to have the opportunity to run a race track”, says Brian. ” I can’t thank the entire Louisa County Fair committee for allowing this dream to come true.”
There will be just a few changes over the 2015 season for the 2016 season. Including some tweaking of a few rules, payouts and the hiring of a new crew. But the same 6 classes, Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, SportMods, Mod Lites, IMCA Sport Compacts, and CJ Mini Haulers, will remain on the card for the 2016 season.
The 2015 awards banquet is tentatively set for Saturday, November 14th, with more details being released in the coming weeks.
