CJ Speedway Set To Take Green Flag Friday, April 14
Columbus Junction, Iowa: The Forecast looks perfect for the first race of the 2023 racing season at the CJ Speedway located on the Louisa County Fairgrounds in Columbus Junction, Iowa. This Friday, April 14th the sweet sounds of racing engines will be heard at the 4/10th mile dirt track. The racing action at the CJ Speedway will again run under the sanctioning of the International Motor Contest Association which allows competitors to not only earn local but national points and the recognition that can be earned.
Friday April 14th the competitors in 5 racing divisions will hit the track with warmups schedule to get underway at 7:00 pm with racing to follow. The IMCA sanctioned racing classes include, Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sportmods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts .
In addition to Friday night racing featuring the five classes, the powerful open Late Models will be in action at the CJ Speedway twice in 2023. Friday, June 2nd will be the 2nd annual Tony Stewart Memorial featuring the traveling stars of the SLMRA Haulin with Hoker East Series Late Models. Friday, June 30th will be the return of the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association wide open Late Models.
